Earthquake Update

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to let you know David and I are fine and were completely unaffected by the earthquake yesterday afternoon. The epicenter is a few hundred miles north of us. Some of my friends said they felt it yesterday afternoon, but neither David nor I nor several other folks we know felt anything. We had to learn about it from news on the internet! It seems most of the people who were killed or injured lived in poorer, rural areas where the buildings were shoddily constructed and collapsed. There is absolutely no damage where we are, but in a city nearer to the epicenter where several of our friends live we hear there are power and water outages. So we ask your prayers in particular for the villages nearer to the epicenter where people were most affected. Also, pray for us as we try to explain to friends how our loving Father can allow natural disasters such as this and the hurricane in Myanmar to happen. Thanks so much!
